CLEANtricity files turbine patents

The SHAPEshifter turbine's utility patent application was filed today by the Company's legal council Faegre & Benson (Denver, CO). The application features 50 function and design claims. A PCT application was filed in conjunction with the utility patent application.


CLEANtricity completes design review

The SHAPEshifter 2.0 turbine’s design has been validated by an independent third party. Cermak, Perterka, Peterson (CPP) is a Fort Collins, Colorado based worldwide wind engineering consultancy firm that performs wind tunnel testing, computer simulations and technical analyses for structures and wind turbines.


CPP conducted a qualitative engineering assessment report of the CLEANtricity vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) and concluded that the design will mitigate some of the more critical issues associated with most small-scale vertical axis turbines. The design in operation appears to be fairly simple and straight forward.

CLEANtricity Power meets with Colorado Governor Bill Ritter

CLEANtricity's founders discussed the company's SHAPEshifter 2.0 small-scale wind turbines and company plans with Governor Bill Ritter. Their conversation took place at the Governor's mansion as part of the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association launch event.

Governor Ritter stated that he recognizes the valuable impact that distributed small-scale wind turbine generators offer to consumers.
